Latest News and Updates from Roger's Copper Creations
"Good morning to you all, today I would like to share a piece with you that I dropped of to Senator Kim Rosen in the state house last week. In this piece I hope you find a child inside of you standing at the edge of a pond with hopes of catching this frog to hold if only for a moment before he slips from your loving grip to swim to a safe location. I think we may all have some kind of memories like this and if you can smile to that then I surely invite you to do just that."
"Forever Bouquet" for Stefani
I would like to share a few pictures of a memorial bouquet I just finished for a family just around the corner from me. As life often shows me, it truly does matter. Now, in this case, Stefani is the beautiful daughter of two people that I went to school with. That surely matters to me.

Roger Casey has always been appreciative of the men and women who serve in our armed forces. When he learned about the death of Staff Sgt. Brandon Silk, 25, who died June 21, 2010, in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan, he was moved. Roger Casey donated a large copper sculpture to Silk's Family April 12 at Hansen Jewelers in Rockland, Maine. The sculpture features 25 dragonflies, one for each year of Brandon's life, each perched on a flower and one ascending upwards with crosses on its wings, symbolizing his faith. There are 101 flowers for Silk, who was in the 101st Airborne Division. The photos below are the piece in progress and the final result. Click on a photo for a larger view.
